‘Savage Beauty’ season two: Netflix shares teaser trailer

Netflix has shared the official teaser trailer for season two of its upcoming drama series Cruel beauty on Tuesday, May 28.


The second season of the South African Netflix Original drama series Cruel beauty will be officially released on June 28. Cruel beauty season two will be released in a total of six episodes. The series follows the powerful Bhengu family, who will do anything to keep their Beauty Empire intact.

So, where does season two pick up? Well, right where season one ended. The stately patriarch Don Bhengu, played by Dumisani Mbebe, loses control of his wife Grace, played by Nthati Moshesh. Their children Phila and Linda, played by Jesse Suntele and Nambita Ben-Mazwi respectively, seem unpredictable and their actions threaten to tear the family and the business apart.

According to Netflix, Eve Rasimeni, Angela Sithole and Oros Mampofu are reprising their roles and this season, veterans Tony Kgoroge and Abena Ayivor are being added to the cast, as well as newcomer Lebogang Fisher.

“Fifteen years ago, Don and Grace Bhengu tested a toxic product on a group of children living on the streets. Now one of the two survivors, Zinhle Manzini, returns for revenge,” reads the series synopsis.

“Zinhle becomes the invisible force that uncovers family secrets and leads the Bhengus down a path of destruction. But innocent people get hurt along the way, as Zinhle’s own darkness threatens to consume her. Zinhle must decide whether she wants justice or pure, cold revenge,” the synopsis continued.


“A wealthy patriarch with a devastating secret manipulates his fractured family back into unity as each member hides their power-hungry secrets, leading to infiltration by enemies and the destruction of their last true bonds,” the film’s synopsis reads.
