Prajwal Revanna is booking a flight from Germany to Bengaluru, likely to arrive midnight on Friday

Prajwal Revanna, the suspended JD(S) leader accused of sexual assault, has booked a return flight to Bengaluru from Munich on May 30, sources said. PTI.

According to Special Investigation Team sources, “The 33-year-old grandson of JDS supremo HD Deve Gowda is expected to land in Bengaluru in the wee hours of May 31. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is keeping a vigil at the Kempegowda airport here to arrest him as soon as he lands,” they said.

As soon as news emerged that the Karnataka State Commission for Women had urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to initiate a probe into numerous graphic videos allegedly showing the sexual assault of several women by Prajwal Revanna, the suspended JD(S) leader and current NDA candidate, it was depicted -elections from the Hassan Lok Sabha segment hurriedly fled abroad.

Currently, two cases of sexual assault have been filed against Prajwal. Just two days ago, the Hassan MP released a video statement promising to present himself before the SIT on May 31 and fully assist in the investigation.

“The MP has canceled the flight ticket from Germany twice in the past,” the sources added.

Meanwhile, the SIT conducted searches at Prajwal’s residence in the district headquarters Hassan on Tuesday, which lasted late into the night. “Incriminating materials have been seized,” they said.

Prajwal, 33, who is representing the NDA as its candidate for the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, left the country on April 27, just a day after the elections. Meanwhile, reports of his involvement in obscene videos surfaced widely. Despite repeated calls from the SIT to attend hearings related to the case, Prajwal Revanna has consistently avoided appearing at the hearings.

The suspended JDS MP also apologized to his family, party supporters and the citizens of the state. Revanna further alleged that he was experiencing depression and withdrawing from social interactions, while alleging that Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders had initiated discussions on the issue as part of an alleged conspiracy.
