Fintiri announces the establishment of 3 new comprehensive technical colleges

Adamawa State will soon have three comprehensive technical colleges.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, who announced this in his fifth anniversary state broadcast on Wednesday, said the colleges will increase enrollment for school-going citizens.

‘We pay special attention to acquiring skills, but also to science and technology. In this regard, I am pleased to announce that we have begun the process of building three new comprehensive technical schools,” said Fintiti.

He explained that each senatorial zone will have one, and that “one of these schools will be exclusively for girls.”

The governor said his government has done a lot in the education sector in the last five years because the government is passionate about education.

“We believe that tackling the out-of-school syndrome, providing free education, paying WAEC and NECO fees for our candidates, building and equipping new schools, recruiting more teachers and so on that we have done will will ease economic burden on parents,” he added.

He expressed optimism that the efforts would also give youth the tools to swim out of poverty.
