Minnette, widely recognized for his portrayal of the main character in the popular series 13 reasons why, is now embarking on a major creative shift. Despite receiving widespread acclaim for his diverse roles, including Clay Jensen’s memorable portrayal and his compelling performances in films such as Goosebumps, Open houseand the horror series Scream, he is now channeling his energy into his music career. As the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the American alternative rock band Wallows, he shows his versatility and passion as an artist.

The band’s notable songs, including “Are You Bored Yet? (feat. Clairo)” and “Remember When” from their debut album “Nothing Happens” have amassed a sizable following of 1.33 million subscribers on YouTube. Their latest album, ‘Model’, contains the hit ‘Calling After Me’.

During the interview, Minnette, nominated for Push Performance of the Year, expressed his gratitude for his success in acting while highlighting the deep passion that the members of Wallows share for their music: “I feel like I’m in a position now traffic in which I can just do that (music) for a while and get this as far as possible. And the only way that’s going to happen is if I put 100% of my time and energy into it,” the artist said during the interview. The band’s achievements are clearly visible as they head out on tour and recently announced an upcoming live audio event, Wallow’s Listen Party, set to take place on May 30 via Spotify.
