Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna has received huge backlash on social media after a video of him pushing actress Anjali away at an event surfaced online. Balakrishna was a chief guest at a pre-release event of Anjali’s upcoming film ‘Gangs of Godavari’, starring Vishwak Sen and Neha Shetty. In a video that has gone viral on Reddit, Balakrishna is seen pushing Anjali away on stage after she couldn’t hear him.

Anjali’s co-star Neha was visibly shocked by Balakrishna’s gesture. However, Anjali took it sportingly and started laughing. Though it is not clear what the veteran actor said to Anjali before pushing her on stage. Anjali is known for his performance-oriented roles in several popular Tamil and Telugu films such as ‘Angaadi Theru’, ‘Engaeyum Eppothum’, ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ and ‘Geethanjali’.

While Anjali seemed unfazed by the incident, netizens are extremely angry with Balakrishna and are calling him out for being “disrespectful” towards women.
