Obituary of Joanne Ferretti – MA

of Chelmsford and Winchendon, artist; 80 CHELMSFORD — Joanne “Jo” (Green) Ferretti, age 80, artist, poet and avid gardener, died at home on April 10, 2010, after a long illness.

Joanne was born in Amherst, NH, daughter of the late John and Hazel Green. She lived in Chelmsford and Winchendon, MA.

Mrs. Ferretti was predeceased by her husband, Allen Ferretti, who died in 1982.

Surviving family members include her daughter, Cheryl and husband Vincent DiGeronimo of Winchendon; and son, Steven of Kennebunk, ME, his companion, Beth Singley, of Holden; grandchildren, Alaina and Jon of Kennebunk; her sister, Marilyn (Green) and husband, Roger Day of Westford; niece, Laura, and nephews, Brian, Philip and Jeffrey. Her faithful friends, Beth and Stuart Sargent of Port Orange, Florida.

Jo was an award-winning artist whose paintings were exhibited in many locations, including a one-man show at the James McNeill Whistler home in Lowell, Massachusetts, Chelmsford Medical Associates, and the main window at Macy’s Boston store, to name a few. to call.

Mrs. Ferretti was a member of the Hemerocallis Society and a horticulturist specializing in growing and hybridizing daylilies, which was greatly enjoyed by her family, friends and neighbors.

FERRETTI – The memorial service is scheduled for May 15 at 10 a.m. at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Chelmsford, followed by a reception at the family home.
